When the green bar is as long as the pink bar, the startup costs are paid back. Everything after that is real profit.

Do these next

To-do

Tap the box when it is done. Items are grouped so permits, trailer and money stay separate.

Events

Follow each event request from first message to done. Tap the arrows to move a card along. When an event is done, tap Add to Profit and it becomes an event you can fill in with Square sales.

Add an event request

Open and close

Tick things off as you do them. Each day starts fresh and the days you finished stay saved, so you can show an inspector. Write down the fridge temperature too.

Import from Square

This page cannot connect to Square live. Instead, export a report and drop it here. In Square Dashboard go to Reports, then Sales, then Items. Set the dates, press Export, choose CSV, and pick the file below. Upload one report for a whole week or month. The page splits it into days, and each date becomes one day with its items sold and gross sales. Importing again updates those dates, so it is safe to repeat.

Dates that are also logged under Events are counted as events, not as regular days. Square sales are gross sales before fees (about 3.9%), so profit is a little high until fees are added to costs.

Events

Profit = sales minus what that event cost (ingredients, fees, gas, help). Use the Square report for sales.

Fill an event's sales from a Square report

In Square Dashboard go to Reports, then Sales, then Items. Set the dates to include the event day, press Export, choose CSV, and pick that file below. The page adds up all sales on the event's date. Add the event first (next section) with any sales number, then pick it here.

Import card transactions (PDF or CSV)

Drop in a Square Checking statement PDF, or a CSV exported from your bank or card. You will see a preview first. Nothing is added until you tap the button, and importing the same file twice will not make duplicates.

Costs added under an event or a regular day also appear here, marked with where they came from.

Supplies

Use the minus and plus buttons, or type the number you have. Set "Reorder at" and an item lands on the shopping list when you are at or below that number.

Cost per drink

Add a drink with its menu price, then list what goes in it and what each part costs. Supply prices come from the Supplies tab. For a syrup bottle that is $11 for 25 pumps, one pump is about $0.44 / 25.

Dom and the business

Dom paid for some business things with her own money, and used the business card for some personal things. This nets the two so you can see who owes whom. Confirm the treatment with your CPA.
